Fairy Bay Lakehouse, originally Fairy Bay Guest House, was built in 1997 and fully remodelled in November 2021. The small boutique hotel is located on two acres of land on the shores of Fairy Lake in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada. The 240ft of sand shoreline offers canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, in short, a relaxing and truly “Muskoka cottage” feel.

The property sits in the geographical area known as the Canadian Shield. With rolling hills, high cliffs, and the occasional flat farmland, the Canadian Shield can be found from Quebec to Manitoba, from the Arctic to parts of the United States. The Muskoka Region is, almost, dead centre of the Shield. As such, the Huntsville area is filled with hills, valleys, lakes, farms, and also some houses and commercial industry.

From our hotel, you can venture out by car to admire the renowned landscape of Muskoka. Or perhaps, a visit by boat to travel on a chain of three lakes (Fairy Lake, Peninsula Lake, and Lake Vernon) in the Huntsville area – known as the smaller chain of lakes in Muskoka. Plus, a trip downriver leads to a fourth lake (Mary Lake). Whether you travel by boat or car, the beauty and allure of the area are quickly evident – leading to increasingly more people making a permanent move in the area!
